Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to follow it up, and took home a silver in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 along with the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016, as well as the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's latest fight came against Isa Keskikangas of the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She took victory by an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She managed to take home the second round TKO fight and her subsequent two matches during the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. The result was an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she was able to make her return in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote, after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina employed her impressive punching skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. In the aftermath of this win Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she lost her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the fight of the evening bonus for the bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
